The NVA, or National People's Army of East Germany, was considered a strong army during the Cold War era. It was well-equipped and well-trained, and played a significant role in the defense strategy of the Warsaw Pact. However, compared to the armies of major world powers like the United States and the Soviet Union, the NVA was not as powerful. After the reunification of Germany in 1990, the NVA was disbanded and integrated into the Bundeswehr, the unified German armed forces. **

The NVA, or National Voluntary Association, is a non-profit organization that aims to promote volunteerism and community service. I think their mission is commendable as they encourage individuals to give back to their communities and make a positive impact. By fostering a culture of volunteerism, the NVA helps address social issues and create a sense of unity among people. Overall, I believe the NVA plays a valuable role in promoting civic engagement and social responsibility. **

The old NVA ABC filters, which were used by the National People's Army of East Germany, are considered questionable due to their age and potential deterioration. These filters were manufactured during the Cold War era and may not meet modern safety standards. Additionally, the materials used in these filters may have degraded over time, potentially making them ineffective or even hazardous to use. It is recommended to use modern, certified filters for personal protection against chemical, biological, and radiological threats. **

You can find good NVA uniforms at military surplus stores, online military surplus retailers, or through private sellers on websites like eBay.
